The garrison flag flew over Fort McHenry in the summer of 1814 during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812.

Question 2

The Flag took about 7 weeks to sew, it was 30 feet high and 42 feet long. The flag was very large because the US Fort McHenry commander wanted a flag the British could see without a spy glass.

Question 3

Ms Pickersgill was president of the Impartial Female Humane Society which she founded in 1802 and incorporated in 1811. The society helped impoverished families with school vouchers for children and employment for women.
